The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) has completed a nationwide consultation on the 2022-225 Medium Term National Development Policy Framework.

The Director General of the NDPC, Dr Kodjo Essien Mensah-Abrampa provided update on work done so far and the various focus areas at a press briefing in Accra today.

He said the Commission had gone through a nationwide consultation and the team has been on the field since January this year working out, getting views from the private sector, district assemblies, and civil society organizations to put in place this medium-term development plan.

“With this policy framework, almost every sector is tackled in it and the framework will give you an indication as to the target, the output, what we need to do as activities and the institutions involved,” he added.

That, he said would inform the country’s development policy decisions in the next three years.

As with previous frameworks, the National Development Policy Framework would provide a consistent set of policy objectives and strategies to guide the preparation and implementation of medium-term and annual development plans and budgets at sector and district levels.
