The Graphic Communications Group Company Limited is the leading and largest newspaper publishing company in Ghana. It was established along with the Sunday Mirror in 1950 by the then Daily Mirror Group in the United Kingdom, with Cecil King Jnr. as the first head of the company. Its original name was West African Graphic Company. The GCGCL, which is state-owned, publishes and distributes almost all the popular newspapers in the country including the famous Daily Graphic, which is the largest selling newspaper in Ghana. The GCGCL also publishes the Graphic Mirror, Graphic Sports, Graphic Business, Graphic Showbiz and the Junior Graphic for its ‘junior readers’.
